Sidel is looking for Conveyor/Cap Feeder/AQflex Product Support Automation Expert who will be a part of Product Support Back Office Team based in Reichstett that will report to Product Support Director.

Main function in the office is to secure the operational follow up & technical support of all Conveyor/Cap Feeder/AQflex and associated trade equipment.

Your Mission

Sidel is looking for Conveyor/Cap Feeder/AQflex Product Support Automation
Expert who will be a part of Product Support Back Office Team based in
Reichstett that will report to Product Support Director.

Main function in the
office is to secure the operational follow up & technical support of all
Conveyor/Cap Feeder/AQflex and associated trade equipment.

The Automation expert could also be asked to validate internally and
externally the introduction of modifications and variants of new products in
the portfolio, concerning the Conveyor/Cap Feeder/AQflex products, in
coordination with the other relevant teams.

He is finally accountable to execute RCA/site troubleshooting following
issue resolution process, supporting the consequent plan of recovery and
corrective actions, interacting with the other departments.

Your Mission

  • Secure site troubleshooting on Conveyor/Cap Feeder/AQflex and associated trade equipment
  • Secure internal and external automation qualification of new product development and variants
  • Execute automation RCA on Conveyor/Cap Feeder/AQflex equipment issues, supporting the consequent plan of recovery and corrective actions
  • Secure the application of automation retrofits on the Conveyor/Cap Feeder/AQflex products installed base, where necessary
  • Execute validation program for the introduction of modifications, variants, O&U, new products, concerning the automation side Support the availability of field methods for installation, qualification, technical analysis, repairing and maintenance activities
  • Secure performances of commercially released of Conveyor/Cap Feeder/AQflex, concerning the automation side
  • Be part of hotline team for weekend duties, in case of availability for the service Participate to L3/L4 equipment FAT (workshop) & installation, start up, validation, commissioning and services (onsite)
  • Intervention on site in case of technical issues that require a specific automation RCA & troubleshooting
  • Support to Regional Product Support to reinforce local expertise, analysis, in case of technical issues requiring specialized automation RCA and troubleshooting
  • Your Profile

    We are looking for a candidate with at least 5 years of experience in technical assistance, field operations, or engineering, specifically related to Conveyor, Cap Feeder, or AQflex products.

    Experience in the assembly and testing of complex machinery, as well as field service or technical support activities, is a strong advantage.

    The candidate should have a solid understanding of PLC platforms (Siemens TIA, B&R, Rockwell Automation) and be familiar with HMI and motion control systems.

    A thorough knowledge of Conveyor, Cap Feeder, and AQflex products and processes is essential.

    Strong reporting skills and the ability to communicate clearly in both written and spoken English are required.

    We are looking for someone with a problem-solving mindset, particularly in troubleshooting and automation root cause analysis (RCA), and a customer-oriented attitude.

    Excellent interpersonal skills are also necessary, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders, including technicians, internal teams, and external customers.
