Senior Environmental Fate Expert

Responsibilities:

  • Model environmental exposure of pesticides in groundwater, soil, and surface water.
  • Utilize core EU models such as SWASH, PEARL, PELMO, and PERSAM.
  • Enhance risk assessments with higher tier models and tools.
  • Draft technical documents and position papers.
  • Develop innovative solutions for environmental risk assessments.
  • Oversee GLP studies and derive environmental endpoints.
  • Prepare national addenda and draft Registration Reports.
  • Collaborate closely with ecotoxicology colleagues.
  • Mentor junior staff in environmental fate.
  • Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in environmental fate of agrochemicals.
  • Expertise in environmental exposure modeling and EU models.
  • Proven experience in refining risk assessments and EU regulations.
  • Strong ability to prepare draft Registration Reports and national addenda.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Desirable experience in mentoring junior staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of statistical analyses and programming.
