Job Description
This internship will be carried out between Phileo by Lesaffre and the Lesaffre Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) department Nutrition, Microbiota and Health.
Your role will be to develop a gastrointestinal in vitro cat model and test biotics products.
As part of the team, you will be involved in:
- Literature review & SOTA (scientific expertise, articles, patents..)
- In vitro study execution and follow up
- Data analysis and presentation
- Working primarily in English, including internal and external correspondence, literature analysis, and preparing manuscripts and presentations.
Qualifications
We are seeking a candidate with:
- Degree: A master’s student in Agri-food, Engineering, Health Sciences, veterinary or equivalent
- Language Skills: Advanced (native/bilingual) level of English is mandatory; advanced French is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Clear, precise, and accurate communication.
- Writing Skills: English writing abilities (spelling, grammar, syntax, and punctuation).
- Experience: Previous experience as (an intern or apprentice) in a lab environment.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
- Basic Statistical knowledge
- Knowledge about mammalian digestive systems
Additional Knowledge: Understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy (bones, joints, spine, muscles, ligaments, and tendons) and/or microbiology is a bonus.
