About the Role

We, at AI and Data Analytics team, are seeking an experienced and technically hands-on Engineering Manager to lead the Cloud Runtime team within our Data Platform organization.

This team is at the heart of our internal platform, providing scalable, secure, and developer-friendly infrastructure that powers all service deployments across environments including Kubernetes and AWS.

In this role, you will drive the strategy, execution, and team leadership for our internal deployment and infrastructure platform.

Your mission is to abstract operational complexity and empower development teams with self-serve capabilities to deploy, monitor, and scale their services efficiently, securely, and reliably.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Execution
· Lead and grow a team of software and platform engineers focused on building and evolving our Cloud Runtime and infrastructure abstraction layers.

· Set team direction and drive execution on high-impact projects that improve developer autonomy, deployment speed, and platform reliability.

· Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and engineering excellence within the team and across Data Platform.

Platform Engineering & Developer Experience
· Design and maintain a Kubernetes-based deployment platform that enables automated, observable, and secure service delivery across multiple environments (dev, stage, QA, prod).

· Evolve our central deployment repo and GitOps workflows to enable seamless integration between code, deployment configs, secrets, and pipelines.

· Champion infrastructure as code (Terraform), secret management, autoscaling, and standard Helm-based application templates.

· Work closely with developer teams to provide robust support and clear guidelines, enabling them to own their service operations confidently.

Cloud Infrastructure & Scaling
· Partner with infra and DevOps teams to abstract AWS infrastructure complexity through composable and secure Terraform modules.

· Drive initiatives that improve cost awareness, tagging, access control, and security posture across our cloud environments.

· Ensure consistency and reliability in environment setup, resource provisioning, and configuration management across teams and environments.

Strategic Planning & Cross-Functional Leadership
· Collaborate with engineering, security, and data teams to align on platform goals and ensure smooth integration of evolving platform capabilities.

· Work with product and technical leadership to define roadmaps, OKRs, and long-term strategies for the Cloud Runtime team.

Profil

Leadership & Process

· 5+ years of experience in hands-on engineering and 3+ years of experience as a leader, ideally in platform or infrastructure teams.

· Proven ability to lead high-performing teams, scale engineering orgs, and build culture in high-growth or startup environments.

· Experience with Agile methodologies, product-led development, and iterative delivery models.

· Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.


Technical Expertise

· Strong background in cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS), Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, and GitHub Actions.

· Experience with designing and operating CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and infrastructure-as-code.

· Deep understanding of platform observability (metrics, logs, tracing), reliability engineering, and DevOps practices.

· Exposure to modern backend service architectures and the Twelve-Factor App methodology.
