Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Avionics Network Architect (f/m) to join our Avionics Products Development department based in Toulouse, France.
You will join a team of ~15 people based in Toulouse, within Avionics & Simulation Domain that is Airbus avionics equipment internal supplier but also the expertise center (so-called 'Chamber of Reference') for this perimeter.
The actual context is the development of several brand new computers based on product lines strategy (i.e. using hardware & software bricks) while supporting existing avionics products and also preparing the future avionic products (targeting disruptive computers);
Along with the development and the preparation of the future, we also establish new Ways of Working in order to adjust them to new technologies and/or to be more efficient.

Your challenges:
Within this exciting and challenging context, you will play a key role in the development of one brand new computer based on one product line through the main following activities:
(Based on needs described in the avionics product PTS)
Challenge - when relevant - the specification with regards to the needs and to the product line capabilty;
Define/negotiate/challenge the level of compliance (to the PTS) of the product to develop;
Define product requirements (incl.
Perf., Safety, Quality, Industrial & environmental);
Animate trade-off to select the best architecture with HW&SW architects;
Allocate product requirements to HW, SW and 'means' (e.g. test, production ...);
Follow-up product maturity throughout the development and contribute to V&V prioritization activities and to prioritization of correction of anomalies
Contribute to safety network analysis and demonstration for certification;

Your boarding pass:
Strong experience in Electronic devices at Equipment or System level with proven experiences in both Hardware and Software;
Experience with development such as FPGA, Microprocessors, Electronics board, embedded critical Software;
Good undertsanding/kownledge of aeronautical stakes e.g. Safety, reliability, value for customers and certification standards (e.g. ARP4754, ARP5761, DO178, DO254, DO160, .…);
Good analysis / synthesis skills;
Good communication, negotiation & lead skills;
A negotiation level of French and English is required.
Salary range:
Salary range based on the required profile: 55 to 65K€/year (including a variable part based on your performance).

Le Domaine Avionique et Simulation - aussi appelé Chambre de Référence - développe actuellement plusieurs nouveaux ordinateurs basés sur la ligne de produits Avionique, tout en établissant de nouvelles méthodes de travail et en maintenant les produits avioniques existants.
Au sein du département Produits Avioniques de ce domaine, nous recherchons un nouvel Avionic Computer Architect pour rejoindre son équipe de 15 personnes à Toulouse, en France.
Vos défis :
Dans ce contexte passionnant et stimulant, vous jouerez un rôle clé (en fonction de votre profil et de vos souhaits) dans :
Le développement d'un nouveau calculateur avionique, basé sur la ligne de produits Avionique, ou
Le développement d'un nouvelle version d'un calculateur avionique existant, ou
Le suivi des calculateurs avioniques existants.
Ces deux types de développement nécessitent de réaliser les principales activités suivantes :
Gérer/challenger la spécification du calculateur en regard des besoins et de la faisabilité (e.g. par rapport aux capacités de la ligne de produits - dans le cas du développement basé sur la ligne de produits) ;
Définir la meilleure architecture de produit (ou la mise à jour d'architecture du produit dans le cas d'une évolution d'un produit existant), puis définir les exigences associées (y compris les exigences de performances, de safety, de qualité et les exigences industrielles et environnementales), et allouer ces exigences aux équipes développement Matériel et Logiciel via l'organisation de Trade-off si nécessaire ;
Suivre la maturité du produit en contribuant aux activités de priorisation V&V, en priorisant la correction des anomalies et en suivant l'industrialisation ;
Contribuer aux analyses safety et aux démonstrations en vue de la certification.
Le suivi des calculateurs avioniques existants englobe principalement l'analyse des problèmes rencontrés en service ainsi que la génération de recommandations d'utilisation associées.

Bonne connaissance des enjeux et des réglementations aéronautiques (e.g. ARP4754, DO178, DO254, DO160).
Bonnes capacités d'analyse et de synthèse.
Bonnes compétences en communication et en négociation.
Un niveau de négociation en français et en anglais est requis.
